The National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) released a literature review analyzing the negative effects of rent regulations last week. In particular, the review explores how these regulations benefit wealthy renters at the expense of middle- and lower-income renters. This new review by Dr. Arthur C. Nelson, Professor Emeritus of urban planning and real estate development at the University of Arizona, argues the solution to the housing crisis is to grow the housing supply rather than enact policies that have been proven ineffective. – National Multifamily Housing Council
