The Santa Cruz Sentinel Editorial Board addresses several bills in the Legislature that would impose rent controls in California.
To understate the obvious: If these bills pass without buy-in from property owners, or unless elected leaders can find a way to control the price of housing, then these measures will push prices even higher by restricting supply.
