The Center Square: “Net in-migration is fourth nationally, and producing a housing crunch”

Over the next decade, North Carolina’s population is expected to grow by 17%, or 2 million people, putting a strain on the state’s housing supply. To meet demand and keep housing costs low, the state will need to add 120,000 new housing units each year. Although state and local policymakers have enacted pro-housing reforms in recent years, more must be done to ramp up housing production in the state. – The Center Square: North Carolina
